RJ passengers can now pay for tickets using PayPal

Ammon News - AMMAN (Petra) Travelers booking on Royal Jordanian (RJ) website can now have the added convenience and security by paying for tickets using PayPal.

The partnership agreement RJ signed with PayPal means that all Royal Jordanian customers flying to and from Jordan can opt to buy tickets online by using PayPal for payments, according to a press release issued by the national carrier. This service covers RJ customers purchasing their tickets in the Middle East, North Africa, Europe, Asia and North America.

Royal Jordanian, whose fleet covers some 60 destinations on four continents, entered into a service agreement with PayPal to broaden Internet sales payment options by introducing PayPal service.

"This allows RJ customers to pay any way they prefer, including through credit cards, bank accounts, buyer credit or account balances, without having to share financial information. Before using PayPal, customers need to register with the service and choose a method of payment through it, such as a credit or debit card," RJ said.

Booking online can be done by accessing www.rj.com. PayPal will process the payment and the customer will then be taken back to rj.com for the booking confirmation and e-ticket issuance.

Commenting on this new service, Royal Jordanian President/CEO Amer Hadidi said: "Our customers really value the convenience Royal Jordanian provides through its Internet booking engine. We look forward to enhancing our IBE services on the RJ website, therefore we partnered with PayPal as part of our strategy to offer the best ticketing experience for our customers, thus giving them more payment options."

Managing Director at PayPal MENA Elias Ghanem said: "Royal Jordanian is a premium airline committed to offering quality service to its customers throughout the travel process, from making a booking until getting on board the aircraft. PayPal is delighted to play its part in making this process even smoother and more secure."

Ghanem added that PayPal is considered a quick, safe way to pay and get paid online, via mobile devices and in stores. "The service allows people to send money without sharing financial information, offering the flexibility to pay using their account balances, bank accounts, credit cards or promotional financing. With more than 128 million active accounts in 190 markets and 25 currencies around the world, PayPal enables global commerce," he said.
