Jordan, Ukraine discuss parliamentary ties

Ammon News - AMMAN (Petra) - Deputy Atef Tarawneh on Tuesday discussed with Ukrainian Ambassador in Amman Sergi Basco the further strengthening of bilateral ties between the countries, especially in the parliamentary field.

Tarawneh delivered a briefing on the legislative and monitoring role of the Lower House of Parliament, as well as on achievements in light of recent constitutional reforms.

He also praised Ukrainian support for regional issues, particularly the Syrian refugees and their impact on Jordan.

The Ukranian ambassador praised Jordan's positive stance toward regional and international issues, stressing the importance of boosting ties between the two countries' Parliaments through their parliamentary friendship committees and exchange of visits.
