Senate president, Turkish official discuss ties, region

Ammon News - AMMAN (Petra)--Senate President Taher Masri met with Senior Advisor to the Turkish President Arshad Hermzlo on Saturday to discuss Jordanian-Turkish ties, as well as the latest developments in the Middle East.

Masri highlighted the strong ties between Jordan and Turkey, which are continuing to develop in various fields.

Hermzlo praised reforms implemented by Jordan, noting that Turkey is willing to forge closer cooperation with Jordan in various domains.

Discussions at the meeting, which was also attended by Turkish Ambassador to Jordan Sedat Onal, focused on the Syrian crisis, the continued flow of Syrian refugees into the two countries, in addition to efforts to bring about peace in the Middle East.
