King visits Jordanian peacekeepers in Haiti

Ammon News - Port-au-Prince, HAITI (Petra) His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, on Saturday, visited the Jordanian peacekeeping contingent operating in Haiti, where he met the peacekeepers and checked on their conditions and was briefed on their humanitarian efforts in the crisis-hit and disaster-stricken nation.
King Abdullah hailed the Jordanian peacekeeping force's high professionalism in carrying out their duties. The King, accompanied by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Lit. Gen. Misha'al Mohammed Zabin, also toured a weapon expo by the Jordanian force.
Upon arrival in the Haitian capital, Port-au-Prince, His Majesty met with Haitian President, Michel Marthl, and discussed with him bilateral ties and a number of issues of common interest.
The Haitian president expressed appreciation of the Jordanian peacekeeping force's role in maintaining stability in the country and offering various humanitarian aid for the Haitian people.
