The workshop, organized by the National Center for Human Rights in cooperation with the American Bar Association, aimed at increasing awareness by lawyers of the human rights conventions which were ratified by Jordan. It also sought to improve the independence of the judiciary in the Kingdom. Participants in the workshop were asked to use the convention’s articles when presenting their arguments before Jordanian courts. The gathering was part of a series of workshops organized by the center for lawyers and held across the Kingdom.

Ammon News - AMMAN (Petra) A training workshop for Jordanian lawyers, focusing on international conventions on human rights, concluded in Amman on Sunday.

The workshop, organized by the National Center for Human Rights in cooperation with the American Bar Association, aimed at increasing awareness by lawyers of the human rights conventions which were ratified by Jordan. It also sought to improve the independence of the judiciary in the Kingdom.

Participants in the workshop were asked to use the convention’s articles when presenting their arguments before Jordanian courts.

The gathering was part of a series of workshops organized by the center for lawyers and held across the Kingdom.
