AMMONNEWS - Minister of Foreign Affairs Nasser Judeh said that tangible changes will be made to the method of choosing and forming governments in the near future.
Judeh told Ammon News after casting his ballot on Wednesday that reform and change in Jordan is ongoing, noting what the Arab world has witnessed is a systematic reform process, that includes dialogue and many important hallmarks that include debate, comprehensive constitutional reforms, and forming institutions based on constitutional amendments, such as the Independent Elections Commission and the newly formed Constitution Court.
Judeh stressed that election day is an important day for Jordanian citizens to practice their constitutional rights and elect the most suited candidates to represent them in parliament.
He highlighted the ongoing reform process by noting King Abdullah's discussion papers, which highlight the King's vision for the future and participation of all in the decision-making process.
The Foreign Minister called on registered voters, who reached 70 % of the total number of eligible voters in Jordan, to get out and vote today to choose their representatives in the upcoming 17th House of Parliament.
