Ammon News - CAIRO (Petra) Arab causes, namely Jerusalem and countering Israeli occupation measures are at the top of Jordan's media and political agenda, said State Minister for Media Affairs and Communication, Samih Ma'ayta.
Ma'ayta told an Arab information ministers meeting in Cairo Tuesday that defending Islam and combating the various forms and sources of extremism are issues Jordan has been seeking to address through religious and political initiatives. The minister also said professional media is at the top of Jordan's priorities and is part of the overall reform drive.
He called for closer Arab cooperation and coordination in the media domain in order to serve common causes and issues towards further development and modernization.
