4 Killed, Dozen Injured in Accidents in Karak, Maan

Ammon News - KARAK, MAAN (Petra)--Three people were killed and 5 others seriously injured on Sunday in a traffic accident that involved 3 vehicles on the Southern Mazar-Hamidiya road near Karak in southern Jordan.
First aid was provided to the injured while the dead were transferred to Karak forensic medicine center.
Also on Sunday, A 27-year-old woman and eight other members of her family, including four children, were injured when their car overturned on the desert highway in the southern Maan Governorate, according to the Civil Defence Department CDD.
Maan CDD Director Lt. Col. Mohammad Habahbeh said medics treated the injured on the spot before evacuating them and the dead mother to the Maan Government Hospital.
Habahbeh, who oversaw the evacuation, said the Kia van was on its way back to Amman from Aqaba when it flipped several times at the side of the road.
Maan Hospital Director Walid Rawad said the woman was dead on arrival and described the condition of the rest of the family as stable after they sustained various wounds and bruises.
