FM meets Chief of EU Election Observation Mission

AMMAN (Petra)--Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh on Sunday received member of the European Parliament and Chief of the European Union Election Observation Mission (EU EOM) David Martin who briefed the minister on preparation taken by the mission to ensure successful parliamentary elections in the Kingdom.

Judeh stressed the government's readiness to support and facilitate the mission's work in line with arrangements agreed upon by the mission and the Independence Elections Commission.

The minister stressed Jordan's keenness under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II to ensure free and transparent elections.

He also highlighted the strong ties between Jordan and the EU in various fields.

Martin briefed Judeh on the mission's duties and tasks, adding that all facilities have been provided to the mission to enable it to carry out its duty.
