The charter was presented to the King by HRH Prince El-Hassan Bin Talal, who was behind this initiative along with Arab intellectuals and youth. The King thanked the Prince for the efforts he exerted along with other Arab intellectuals to adopt different points of view that respond to changes in the Arab World. Intellectuals, the King said, have a key role to play in enhancing democracy in the Arab world.

Ammon News - AMMAN (Petra) His Majesty King Abdullah II on Wednesday received a copy of the "Arab Social Charter".

The charter was presented to the King by HRH Prince El-Hassan Bin Talal, who was behind this initiative along with Arab intellectuals and youth.

The King thanked the Prince for the efforts he exerted along with other Arab intellectuals to adopt different points of view that respond to changes in the Arab World.

Intellectuals, the King said, have a key role to play in enhancing democracy in the Arab world.
