19 Students Suffer Suffocation from Chemicals in Salt School

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - 19 students and a teacher suffered from asphyxiation after inhaling toxic gases emitted from chemical cleaning materials inside a school in the Khandaq area in the city of Salt, northwest of Amman, according to the Civil Defense Department (CDD). 

CDD Media Spokesperson Colonel Fareed Al Sharaa said in a statement that defense cadres provided preliminary first aid procedures to the victims. They were transferred to the Salt state-run hospital.

The students and the teacher were reported to be in stable and good condition.
