Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Several people were reportedly injured when unidentified assailants attacked a pro-reform ceremony held in Mafraq on Thursday to announce a newly formed reform movement.
The ceremony was held to announce the formation of the "Central Commission for Reform," and was attended by reform firebrand, former Prime Minister and head of the National Front for Reform Ahmad Obeidat, and several figures from Islamists and opposition political parties.
Meanwhile, Public Security Department spokesperson Lt. Col. Mohammad Khatib told Ammon News that security forces did not receive any reports of an attack on the ceremony and Mafraq police did not receive any complaints.
