Ammon News - AMMAN (Petra)The Jordan Chamber of Commerce on Thursday hosted a delegation from the European Union led by Director General for Home Affairs of the European Commission Stefano Manservisi.
The meeting discussed means to facilitate the flow of Jordanian products to European markets and support the private sector.
First Vice Chairman of Jordan Chamber of Commerce Issa Haider Murad stressed the need to remove obstacles hindering the flow of Jordanian products to European markets, noting that Jordan's annual imports from Europe are estimated at JD2.5 billion.
He also valued the EU support of Jordan's national economy, highlighting reforms achieved in Jordan in various economic fields.
Murad also affirmed the importance of the strategic partnership between Jordan and the EU, especially in trade and economic areas, noting the need to ease movement of business leaders between the two sides.
