Ammon News - AMMONNEWS-Known for its record breaking titles of having the largest kebab or tallest building, Dubai has added the world’s largest shoe store to its expanding list on Friday.

Located in the world’s biggest shopping complex, Dubai mall, the shoe store is 96,000 square feet, Bloomberg reported.

The store, “Level Shoe District,” is expected to house 15,000 pairs of shoes with different styles from around 250 different brands from across the globe.



“The whole idea is to a place for men and women who love shoes, who are passionate about shoes, who are addicted to shoes, who are obsessed about shoes,” CEO of Chalhoub Group, Patrick Chalhoub, told Bloomberg.

“Level Shoe District” topped New York’s Macy’s claim to the title when it opened a 39,000 square feet of store in Manhattan in 2011.

“The luxury market is developing extremely well… People aspire for luxury and aspire for quality,” said Chalhoub.

The store will feature Louis Vuitton’s 2013 Spring Collection, which will be on display before the collection is officially launched, he added.
