‘easyJet’ Official Carrier for the Jordanian Olympic Team

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS-The Jordan team competing at this summer’s London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games will be flying in on easyJet, the Jordanian Olympic Committee (JOC) has announced. The JOC has signed an agreement with the United Kingdom’s largest airline which will carry the team members along with key support staff.

The announcement took place at the British Ambassador’s Residence and was attended by HRH Prince Feisall Al Hussein, President of the JOC, and HRH Prince Raad, President of the Jordan Paralympics Committee.

On this occasion, British Ambassador Peter Millett said: “We are delighted that easyJet, a British airline, is announced as the official carrier for the Jordanian Olympics and Paralympics teams that will participate in London. Such partnerships confirm the close relationship between both countries.”

Lana Al Jaghbeer, Secretary General of the Jordan Olympic Committee said: “We are looking forward to working with easyJet to ensure our delegations receive the best start to their Olympic experience with London.”

Hugh Aitken, easyJet’s UK and Middle East Commercial Manager, said: “easyJet is delighted and honored to be able to play its part in helping this committed team of athletes moving closer to achieving their dreams and representing their country at the summer Games. As per easyJet’s offer to customers, we will make it easy and affordable for the Jordan Olympic and Paralympic teams to travel to London.

This sponsorship shows our commitment towards the Jordanian market and our selection reflects the success of easyJet’s London-Amman route throughout the past year.
