Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Ibrahim Jazi was sworn in on Wednesday as Minister of State for Legal Affairs and Minister of Justice succeeding former justice minister Salim Zoubi, who resigned last week.
Jazi was sworn in before His Majesty King Abdullah in the presence of Prime Minister Awn Khasawneh and Royal Court Chief Riad Abu Karaki, the Jordan News Agency, Petra said.
A Royal Decree was issued accepting the resignation of Zoubi as of April 9.
On Monday, Khasawneh said that Zoubi resigned for health reasons, saying that the former minister has been suffering from fatigue due to "the heavy work load".
Media reports claimed that Zoubi had resigned because of disagreements with the government over the draft elections law, which was sent to Parliament early this week. But the premier denied the reports.
