Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Arab Bank and Tkiyet Um Ali (TUA) have recently concluded their intiative to package and distribute food to families in need across the Kingdom. This activity is part of Arab Bank’s efforts towards alleviating poverty in the kingdom and its mission to advance the culture of volunteerism through engaging its employees.
The volunteers have visited families in poverty pockets across the Kingdom, from the southern governorates of Aqaba and Maan to the north, in Amman and Zarqa, handing out a total of 6,000 meals to over 90? households during the entire month.
In addition to the distribution, employees from Arab Bank, AB Invest and Al Nisr Al Arabi Insurance and their friends and families volunteered to prepare and package meals to be delivered across the Kingdom.
A total number of 110 volunteers prepared approximately 4,620 food packages during the month. Dina Shoman, executive vice president of Branding at Arab Bank, said: “Tkiyet Um Ali’s efforts towards hunger alleviation and job creation not only has a great impact on th? lives of many families, but is also much needed during these times.”
