Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Qusai Ja'roun - A 12-year-old boy died Wednesday night after falling into an absorbent ditch while playing with friends in the northern governorate of Irbid. 

Immediately after the incident late Wednesday night, nearby residents and employees of Al Rahmah Hospital rushed to the scene to help until Civil Defense Directorate (CDD) arrived, Al Rahmah Hospital Director Abdullah Sharman said.

The boy died immediately as a result of the fall, Sharman added.

The child's body was transferred to the forensics' center to further investigate the details of his cause of death since rumors spread over the cause of the fall, Al Rahmah Hospital director told Ammon News. 

Shorman indicated that additional details on the cause of death will be released after a comprehensive forensic report is completed.
