Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The coordinating committee for Friday, July 15th's major demonstration on Thursday night announced that it will hold its protest in downtown Amman.
The protest will be held at Al Nakhil Square in Ras Al Ain, near downtown Amman following midday prayers on Friday.
A coalition of pro-reform movements, including youth and opposition parties, will partake in the protest.
Activists from the movement told Ammon News Thursday night that the decision to hold an 'open sit-in' will depend on the state's dealing with the protestors and the extent to which the government will respond to the demands of the pro-reform movement.
Dozens of political activists from throughout the kingdom are expected to head to Al Nakhil Square on Friday to partake in the demonstration.
Meanwhile, the protest is expected to be held amidst heavy security presence with the government warning against demonstrators holding an "open protest."
The government had warned the organizers against holding the protest at the Interior Ministry Circle, the site of major clashes that took place on March 25th during a pro-reform sit-in.
Prime Minister Marouf Bakhit on Thursday night warned during an interview with Jordan Television that "open sit-ins" are prohibited and will not be tolerated.
