Firas Ibrahim shocked at Asalah’s political views

06-06-2011 12:00 AM

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Syrian actor Firas Ibrahim expressed his shock at the stance of Syrian singer Asalah Nasri towards the current events in Syria and her support for the revolutionaries who want to overthrow the government of President Bashar Al Asad. Firas stated that Asalah does not know the actual facts taking place in Syria especially since she lives in Egypt

Firas said that it is shameful for Asalah to say that she is against the current government and she is far from the chaotic conditions in Syria. He added that if Asalah was living in Syria her views would surely be different and she would not support the protesters/revolutionist. Firas stressed that the conditions in Syria cannot be compared to recent events in Tunisia and Egypt, where protests erupted to put an end against the corruption caused by the government and its heads.

The actor stated that Syria’s President is implementing reconstruction in the country and there is stability, adding that what is being aired on different news channels is mere propaganda.

Firas said that he is currently filming the scenes for his upcoming television drama “Fi Hadrat Al Ghiab” in different cities around Syria and he is living a normal quiet life.

With regards to having his name blacklisted by a group of activists who are against the protesters and in full support of the government, Firas said that the matter does not mean anything to him, especially because it is created by a group of young people who are wasting their time on the internet and on Facebook.
