Ammon News - AMMONNEWS – During the period between 4 and 10 December of this year, comedy lovers and fans are invited to enjoy the performances and shows of local and international comedians at the Third Amman Comedy Festival, organized in association with MBC Group, at Al Hussein Cultural Center.

The 2010 Festival witnesses a lineup of world artists, namely Gabriel Iglasias, Dean Edwards, Omid Jalili, Larry Omaha, Edwin San Juan, Dean Obeidala, Aron Khader, Sheri Deivy, Omar Elba, Brian Scott McFadden, and Mu Amer.

Since inception, the Amman Comedy Festival achieved great successes through attracting thousands of comedy fans and lovers from the Middle East and the Arab World, who deeply interacted with and highly appreciated the many comedic shows and performances.

The Festival has helped place Amman amongst world cities, well renowned for their excellence in art, thought, literature, and culture.

The Comedic Nights, titled “Gabriel and Friends” shall take place in the first and second nights of the Festival, featuring Gabriel Iglasias, Larry Omaha, Edwin San Juan, Dean Obeidala, and Aron Khader.

The Arabian Nights feature comedians Nabil Sawalha, Mohammed Salem, Motaz Atallah. Ola Roshdi, and Meena Dimian, The Laughter Nights shall witness the performances of artists, Dean Edwards, Omar Elba, Sheri Deivy, Brian Scott McFadden, and Mu Amer.

The Closing Nights shall host Omid Jalili. Dean Edwards, Sheri Deivy, Mu Amer, and Dean Obeidala.

Workshops on the sidelines of the Festival, free of charge, will be conducted by comedic experts, with the aim of reinforcing comedic and stand up performances. Also on the sidelines of the Festival, there will be an international contest, open to all participants.

The 2nd of December, 4 p.m., at Al Hussein Cultural Center, an open day shall be organized for experimental rehearsals by the promising talents.

It is important to note that performances shall kick off at 8 p.m. of every night of the Festival, which is developed and produced in close collaboration with the critically acclaimed New York Arab American Comedy Festival.
