Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) began removing parliamentary campaign advertisement and banners from the capital's streets on Thursday.
A GAM official told 'Ammon News' that GAM gave candidates 48 hours following election night to remove their ads.
GAM teams began Thursday morning removing all advertisement, and will conclude in the upcoming days.
GAM noted that candidate supporters may also take part and help GAM remove all advertisement material.
Amman Mayor Omar Ma'ani had decided earlier that GAM will take responsibility of removing campaigning advertisement and banners at its own expense, and will refund the financial deposit paid by candidates.
GAM noted that no violations in campaign advertisement were committed.
