Ammon News - The Northern Military Region foiled an attempt by two individuals to cross the Kingdom's border illegally on Wednesday evening, the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) said.

Border Guard units detected the two individuals while they were attempting to cross one of the northern border fronts and responded in accordance with the established rules of engagement.

Both were apprehended before crossing the border and referred to the relevant authorities for further legal proceedings.

JAF said Border Guard units continue to maintain heightened vigilance along the Kingdom’s borders as part of ongoing efforts to prevent infiltration and other illegal cross-border activities.

The armed forces reaffirmed their commitment to safeguarding Jordan’s borders and sovereignty and confronting any unlawful activity that could threaten the country’s security and stability.
