Ammon News - Temperatures are expected to ease gradually through the weekend, with moderate conditions prevailing across most regions before milder weather settles in by Friday and Saturday, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department.
A slight drop in temperatures on Wednesday is bringing moderate weather to most parts of the country, while relatively hot conditions continue in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. High clouds are expected intermittently, accompanied by moderate westerly winds that may become active at times and raise dust, particularly in desert regions.
The Meteorological Department expects similar conditions to continue on Thursday, with moderate weather across most regions and relatively hot to hot conditions persisting in low-lying and desert areas. Medium- and high-level clouds will remain present, while northwesterly winds are forecast to strengthen at intervals, with occasional strong gusts likely to stir dust and reduce visibility, especially in Badia areas.
Temperatures are forecast to decline slightly again on Friday, bringing milder conditions to the highlands and plains, while relatively hot weather continues in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Winds will remain northwesterly and active at times, accompanied by strong gusts that may trigger blowing dust and lower horizontal visibility in exposed desert areas.
A further slight decline is expected on Saturday, with pleasant weather prevailing across mountainous and plain areas and moderate conditions extending across the Badia and low-lying regions. Clouds are expected at varying altitudes, while northwesterly winds range from moderate to active, raising dust at times, particularly in desert regions.
Temperature ranges on Wednesday reflect the prevailing pattern, with East Amman forecast between 28 C and 18 C, and West Amman between 25 C and 15 C. Northern highlands will record 24 C to 13 C, while the Sharah highlands range between 25 C and 11 C.
In the Badia, temperatures are expected between 33 C and 14 C, and in the plains between 28 C and 15 C. The northern Jordan Valley is forecast at 33 C to 16 C, rising to 36 C to 21 C in the southern valley. The Dead Sea will record 35 C to 20 C, while Aqaba reaches 37 C to 22 C. Petra
