Mild spring weather in most regions until Sunday

Ammon News - Temperatures across this Kingdom on Thursday are expected to hover around seasonal averages, with generally mild conditions prevailing in most regions, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).

The weather will be relatively hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, while medium- and high-altitude clouds are forecast to appear, particularly in the eastern parts of the Kingdom. There is also a chance of brief, scattered rain showers during the evening hours in limited areas of the northeastern Badia.

Winds will be moderate easterlies, shifting by midday to north-westerlies that may become active at times, especially in desert areas.

On Friday, a slight drop in temperatures is expected. Conditions will remain mild in most areas and warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.

Clouds at various altitudes are anticipated, particularly in eastern regions, with intermittent rain showers likely in parts of the northeast, especially the Badia. Thunderstorms and occasional hail may accompany the rainfall. Winds will be moderate, shifting from northeasterly to northwesterly, with periods of increased activity that could raise dust in desert areas.

A slight rise in temperatures is forecast for Saturday, bringing generally mild weather across most regions and relatively hot conditions in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Winds will be moderate, ranging from northeasterly to northwesterly, and may become active at times during the evening.

Temperatures are expected to dip slightly again on Sunday, with mild conditions in most areas and warm weather in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.

Medium- and high-level clouds will reappear, while southwesterly winds are expected to pick up, with occasional strong gusts that may stir up dust, particularly in desert regions.

Temperatures in the capital Amman will range between a high of 25 degrees Celsius, and a low of 13 degrees.

Highs in the port city of Aqaba will reach 35 degrees, sliding to 20 degrees at night. Petra
