Ammon News - The Eastern Military Zone thwarted early Wednesday morning two attempts to smuggle a large quantity of narcotics, transported via electronically guided balloons, within its area of ​​responsibility.

The balloons were detected by border guard units, who engaged them, intercepted them, and bough them down along with their cargo inside Jordanian territory. This operation was conducted in coordination with security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department (AND).

The seized narcotics were then transferred to the relevant authorities for further action.
