Ammon News - Ynet Hebrew newpaper reported that sources in the Israeli security establishment and the intelligence community expressed doubts about achieving the targets set for the attack against Hamas leaders in Doha.

Two of the sources said that based on the information gathered so far, they are pessimistic about the lethal impact on most of the targets, and possibly even all of them. However, they emphasized that this is not a final result, and that the data collection for the conclusion of the attack's damage assessment (BDA) has not yet been completed.

One source said that whatever the outcome, one goal to show Hamas leader that there is nowhere they can hide - was achieved in any case, according to the newspaper.

Ynet also said : "Initially, especially in the Military Intelligence, the Shin Bet, and the Air Force, there was optimism regarding the results of Operation "Fire Summit." This was because it seemed that the operation was carried out only after the meeting had begun, and that there was a very high degree of certainty, at least for most of the senior Hamas officials , that they had entered the building. In addition, it seemed that the bombs had hit the structure as planned and caused it very heavy damage."

It is still unclear how the attack failed, if indeed it did. After all, the Air Force planes dropped several powerful bombs on the target, it added.
