Ammon News - Energy expert Hashem Aqel on Monday revealed his expectations for August's oil prices in Jordan, based on global prices for July.

Aqel expected the price of 90-octane gasoline to decrease by 15 fils per liter, or 1.7%, while the price of 95-octane gasoline to decrease by 15 fils per liter, or 1.3%.

Diesel price is expected to rise by 15 fils per liter, or 2.2%, according to Aqel.

The current forecasts indicate that oil prices are likely to decline in the coming months, and there are no strong indications of a significant increase in the near term, he said.
