Ammon News - A security source confirmed new cases of alcohol poisoning, which resulted in the death of seven people and injured others in areas outside Zarqa, including the Jordan Valley and Balqa, since Thursday evening.

The source told "Ammon News" that 15 new cases are currently suspected, including one in the Jordan Valley and another in Balqa Governorate. All are in hospital while tests and necessary procedures are being conducted to verify their connection to the alcohol poisoning case.

The Public Security Directorate (PSD) announced that it had identified the source of the substance causing the deaths resulting from the consumption of methyl alcohol (methanol) from a licensed alcoholic beverage factory.
