The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) announced, in a statement issued Wednesday, the start of sending prefabricated houses to the Strip, in cooperation with the Jordanian Armed Forces - the Arab Army.
This qualitative step comes within a series of relief efforts implemented by Jordan since the beginning of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, with the aim of providing safe shelter for families affected by the destruction of homes and infrastructure.
Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, continues its pivotal role in supporting the Palestinian brothers, as the Jordanian humanitarian corridor - via the land and air bridge - is one of the most important channels that ensure the rapid and efficient arrival of aid to the Gaza Strip. Since the beginning of the crisis, Jordanian aid convoys have not stopped heading to the Strip, carrying food, medical supplies, and relief aid, in addition to field hospitals that provide health care to the injured and sick in light of the difficult circumstances they face.
JHCO's Secretary- General, Hussein Shibli, explained that this step comes to intensify humanitarian efforts and provide all possible forms of support to our brothers in Gaza.
"Sending prefabricated houses is part of our ongoing commitment to support our people in Gaza, as we seek to provide quick and effective solutions to alleviate their suffering. Jordan will always remain at the forefront of countries that extend a helping hand to its brothers, based on the directives of the Hashemite leadership and the Kingdom’s long-standing legacy in humanitarian work," Shibli said.
The JHCO also stressed that sending prefabricated houses to Gaza is only part of an expanded plan aimed at providing more support to our Palestinian brothers, including reconstruction and strengthening the infrastructure of those affected.
