AMMONNEWS – 73,718 voters from Ajloun governorate, in northern Jordan, will head to the polls on Tuesday to elect 29 candidates for the Lower House of Parliament.
A total of 29 candidates are competing in Ajloun’s two electoral districts, including 7 female candidates competing for one women's quota seat.
Ajloun's First district is divided into three sub districts. In the first sub district, 8 male candidates are competing for 2 "Muslim" seats, including three female candidates competing for the women's quota seat.
The second sub district, 8 male candidates are competing for 2 "Muslim" seats, including two female candidates for the women's quota.
In the third sub district, 7 male candidates are competing for one “Christian” quota seat, including two females candidates.
56,343 voters are registered to vote in the first district, while 17,284 are registered to vote in the second district (Kufranja).
In Ajloun’s 2nd district (Kufranja), 6 candidates including two female are competing for the votes of 17,284 registered voters.
