Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Jordan is working on the highest levels to halt the Israeli continuous violations against AlAqsa Mosque namely a plan to impose a schedule to allow Jewish prayer at the site, said a Palestinian top official Monday, KUNA reported.

Speaking to Palestinian radio, Secretary at the Executive Council of the Palestinian Liberation Organization
(PLO) Saeb Erekat said that the meeting between Jordanian King Abdullah II and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas yesterday touched on Jordan's highlevel efforts to discourage Israel from carrying out the plan.

Last week Israeli forces prevented Palestinians access to the Mosque in a measure viewed as an initial step to impose the scheduled.

A similar action was undertaken by Israel at Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron (AlKhalil) city when a schedule was
imposed to allocate time for prayers for both Muslim and Jewish worshipers. Muslims are prevented from
entering the said Mosque during Jewish holidays.
