Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Jordan Micro Credit Company Tamweelcom was recently represented by the CEO, Mr. Ziad Al-Refai, at the “Summer DAVOS” in Asia; a conference sponsored by the World Economic Forum.

The conference, entitled “Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2010”, was convened under the theme “Driving Growth through Sustainability”. It transpired in Tianjin, People’s Republic of China, from September 13-15.

This conference was attended by 1,200 “New Champions of the World”, entrepreneurial individuals and organizations, representing all seven continents of the world. The participants included: global growth companies, social entrepreneurs, technology pioneers, young global leaders and young scientists; who assembled to discuss the “Hot Topics” of the business world. The theme explored the subject of sustainability; focusing on how to change and revitalize the global economy, in a mode that is sustainable over the long-term.

Mr. Al-Refai was invited to the conference as a speaker on one of the sub-themes, “Facilitating Economic and Social Change”. He gave a presentation entitled “Micro Value Chain Services for Public-Private Partnerships”, in which he detailed the success and sustainability of the Value Chain Finance Framework when both financial and non-financial services are dispensed, simultaneously. Mr. Al-Refai further elaborated on the necessity of private sector partnerships to support and develop the educational aspect of the non-financial services. Ten years later, Mr. Ziad attributes the thriving success of Tamweelcom, in part, to the marketing program, Souk Ayyadi, one of the non-financial services. Currently, Souk Ayyadi is seeking support from private sector partnerships to implement a series of educational seminars, specifically designed to further support and inform their clientele.
