Ammon News - AMMAN – The Polish Embassy in Amman will open a computer lab at Hittin Refugee camp school on June 14.
According to a press statement released by the embassy, the Polish government provided 11,000 euros to furnish the school with a computer lab that includes 20 computers, furniture, and Data Show device.
The facility will be open to the public and serve the wider community in the area, where around 1100 student between the ages of 6-9 years are expected to attend this lab.
This is part of the 500,000 euros project, the embassy started in 2007, where it established children's libraries in Anjara in the northern governorate of Ajloun and in As-samakiya town in Karak in 2008.
The embassy had provided the libraries with new books worth 14,000 euros, the statement added.
Head of mission at the Republic of Poland Embassy in Amman Krzysztof Bojko, said this project came in coordination with the Department of Palestinian Affairs, adding it aims at providing students with e-learning tools and other multimedia learning programs.
"Under the project, the embassy will also provide this year another school in the city of Aqaba with a computer lab", the Polish official added.
