Municipality Building Torched in Karak

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Municipality building of Faquoa in Karak , in southern Jordan, was torched by assailants early Saturday, Ammon News correspondent there reported.

Unknown assailants had set ablaze the Municipality building of faqoua, north of Karak , Civil Defense Department (CDS) cadres managed to contain the fire before it spread to adjacent buildings.

Major protests and violent riots had erupted in the past three days throughout the kingdom against the government's decision to float prices of oil derivatives, which caused a substantial hike in prices of gasoline, kerosene, diesel, and cooking gas.
