King: Need to enhance Arab efforts for humanitarian response in Gaza
His Majesty King Abdullah II, upon receiving Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani at Al Husseiniya Palace on Sunday, stressed the need to enhance Arab efforts to respond to the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
His Majesty, in the presence of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, said that stopping the Israeli war on Gaza and Lebanon is the immediate step that must be taken to reach a comprehensive calm in the region.
His Majesty pointed to the importance of working to implement the decisions of the extraordinary Arab and Islamic summit that was recently held in Riyadh, appreciating Qatar's efforts to reduce escalation and restore stability in the region.
The meeting covered the brotherly relations between the two countries, and ways to enhance them and expand cooperation in various fields.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Dr. Jaafar Hassan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, and Director of the Office of His Majesty Eng. Alaa Batayneh.
