Twinning agreement between Madaba and Sapriva Banya, Bulgaria
The Greater Madaba Municipality formalized a partnership with the Bulgarian Municipality of Sapriva Banya to strengthen collaboration in tourism, culture, and investment sectors.
As per a statement released by the Madaba Municipality today, Sunday, the agreement signed by Mayor Aref Al-Rawajih, who is presently in the Bulgarian city, and his Bulgarian counterpart Kalin Jelev, seeks to facilitate experience and visit exchanges between both parties, along with identifying investment projects beneficial to the two cities.
Al-Rawajih announced that a group of Bulgarian businesspeople plans to come to Madaba at the end of this month to explore investment opportunities, particularly in waste sorting, recycling, and transforming it into clean energy.
He mentioned that it was decided to name a street in Madaba after (Sapriva Banya).
It is important to mention that both cities share many similarities, as they both originate from two thousand years ago and possess a rich history, featuring numerous religious sites and healing mineral waters, and are known for their tourist attractions, alongside their closeness to the capitals of their respective countries.
