Restoring Hope: JHCO Launches Campaign to Aid Gaza's Amputees
The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) has launched a high-profile fundraising campaign, 'Restoring Hope,' to provide critical support for more than 16,000 amputees in Gaza.
The initiative is a comprehensive effort aimed at equipping individuals with advanced prosthetic limbs, empowering them to regain independence and rebuild their lives amid ongoing hardships.
Building on the success of Jordan's humanitarian efforts, the JHCO, in collaboration with Jordan’s Royal Medical Services, recently stationed two mobile clinics at the Khan Younis military field hospital in Gaza.
Since mid-September, these teams have fitted 120 prosthetic limbs for 116 patients, restoring mobility and autonomy to individuals whose lives have been deeply impacted by the war.
The campaign seeks to engage both the public and private sectors, aiming to raise the $1,400 required for each prosthetic limb. JHCO Secretary-General Hussein Shabli emphasized the urgency of the campaign, revealing that while over $2 million has been raised, the funds fall significantly short of what is needed to meet the initiative's ambitious goals.
'Our mission is to ensure that every amputee receives the support they need to lead a dignified life,' Al-Shabli said, calling upon global partners, organizations, and individuals to join in this vital cause.
A key component of the 'Restoring Hope' campaign is its cutting-edge prosthetic technology, allowing patients to begin using their new limbs within just two hours of fitting. This rapid restoration of mobility transforms lives, giving recipients renewed independence and opportunities.
To amplify the campaign’s reach, JHCO will launch a comprehensive media blitz across television channels, news platforms, and social media, with high-profile influencers joining the initiative to connect with potential donors across Jordan and beyond.
Donations to the 'Restoring Hope' initiative can be made via JHCO’s account at Al Etihad Bank (IBAN JO21 UBSI 1030 0000 4020 1659 9151 05), through the Efawateercom payment platform, and at the organization’s headquarters in Khalda, Amman.
Contributions can also be submitted online at [www.jhco.org.jo](http://www.jhco.org.jo), enabling a seamless donation experience for supporters around the world.
With Jordan’s longstanding commitment to humanitarian relief, the 'Restoring Hope' campaign serves as a beacon of resilience and solidarity, offering Gaza’s amputees a lifeline toward a more hopeful future.
