Jordan Motorsport Announces Official Lineup for Baja Jordan Rally
Jordan Motorsport has officially announced the participant lineup for Baja Jordan, the seventh round of the FIA World Cup for Cross-Country Bajas, the FIM World Cup for Bikes and Quads, and the third round of the Middle East Cup for Cross-Country Bajas.
The event, set to launch in Aqaba and traverse the stunning Wadi Rum desert, will kick off this Thursday and continue through Saturday.
Competitors will cover a demanding 566.46 km of desert terrain along a total route of 775.31 km in Wadi Rum’s iconic landscape.
The international roster for the FIA Cross-Country Bajas includes 20 drivers from countries such as the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Spain, Lithuania, Argentina, Uruguay, Qatar, Brazil, Poland, Portugal, Italy, and Kazakhstan.
The FIM World Cup round will see 16 riders from Jordan, Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Australia, and the UK, while the national Baja Jordan event includes 11 drivers representing Jordan and Palestine.
For the first time, Jordan Motorsport Federation is introducing a desert navigation rally in Wadi Rum alongside Baja Jordan. Named 'Wadi Al-Qamar Rally' for its breathtaking lunar-like landscapes, the rally will feature 25 competitors from Jordan, Palestine, and Syria.
This year’s Baja Jordan is supported by Zain Jordan, the Jordan Kuwait Bank, Can-Am, the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, Aqaba Development Corporation, Aqaba Cruise Terminal, Guarantee Travel Group, Radio Hala, and Plus FM. The event’s base will be the Hyatt Regency Aqaba Ayla Resort.
