The Ministry of Tourism and the Jordan Tourism Board, on behalf of the government, signed an additional agreement with Ryan Air to restart flights to Amman, as a way to enhance Jordan's links with key tourism markets.
As per the third quarter report from the Economic Modernization Vision's executive program, Ryan Air will be operating flights to Amman from six different locations starting in early December 2024 for the winter season 2024/2025.
Transavia France flights have also recommenced the Paris to Amman air route at the start of September 2024.
The Jordan Tourism Board plans to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Ethiopian Airlines, which offers regular flights from Addis Ababa to Amman, with 7 weekly flights. The MOU will involve organizing familiarization trips to Jordan from Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, and Brazil, along with collaborating on marketing efforts.
