No violations in the winter campaign .. and a one-week notice
Today, the Public Security Directorate launched its yearly preventive campaign to check the safety and suitability of vehicles, with the goal of reducing accidents in the winter weather common in the Kingdom.
This initiative aims to confirm cars are safe for winter driving, with required safety features, through collaboration between traffic departments, the Royal Environmental Protection Administration, and Maintenance Department inspection specialists.
The traffic campaign will involve patrols on both internal and external roads inspecting vehicles, and those that pass inspection will receive a sticker for their windshield.
If there is a technical issue, the owner of the vehicle will receive a notice (with no penalty) to fix the technical problems and address safety concerns within one week.
The Public Security Directorate urges citizens to work together with staff, adhere to instructions, maintain vehicles properly, to ensure winter safety for themselves and others.
