Lebanon submitted a formal complaint to the Security Council accusing Israel of attacking journalists and media buildings.
According to the complaint, attacks by Israel on journalists and media buildings in southern Lebanon and Ouzai resulted in the deaths of photographers Wissam Qassem and Ghassan Najjar, and technician Mohammad Reda, as well as injuries to several others.
The complaint emphasized that the frequent attacks on the media by Israel are seen as a serious war crime that must be punished to protect press freedom, ensure journalist safety, and allow for the truth to be reported on Israeli aggression in Lebanon.
Lebanon urged the Security Council member states to take action to quickly stop the continued Israeli attacks on Lebanon, which are affecting civilians, journalists, and paramedics.
