Crimes and violations in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque
In a clear and explicit violation of the sanctity of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, the settlers' incursions continue during the third quarter of 2024, as 16,138 settlers and 10,741 under the name of 'tourism' stormed the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque during the de facto situation imposed by the occupation and called the morning and evening periods, with the support of the occupation forces.
The file of excavations under the Al-Aqsa Mosque and preventing restoration:
In August, a stone fell from the wall of the Tankaziyya School onto the occupied Buraq Wall square west of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. The occupation said that the fall of the archaeological stone was due to water leaking from the roof of the Tankaziyya School, which led to pressure on the stones and the material binding them.
During September, the occupation continued excavation and Judaization work in the area of the Umayyad palaces south of the Qibli Mosque and adjacent to the wall of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Targeting Jerusalemite national figures:
During the third quarter of 2024, the occupation authorities continued to target the Governor of Jerusalem, Adnan Ghaith, who has been subjected to an open-ended house arrest since August 4, 2022, without specifying a time period for the decision. On September 22, the occupation authorities renewed the decision to prevent the Governor of Jerusalem, Adnan Ghaith, from entering the West Bank for the sixth consecutive year for a period of four months, after summoning him for investigation.
It is worth noting that five military decisions have been issued against Governor Ghaith since he assumed his duties in 2018, in addition to a sixth decision to house arrest him for more than two years until now, all of which are renewed periodically.
The occupation authorities targeted His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Akram Sabri, the preacher of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and head of the Supreme Islamic Council, as the so-called Minister of the Interior of the occupation 'Moshe Arbel' demanded the withdrawal of the Jerusalem residency from Sheikh Akram Sabri, and the so-called Minister of National Security 'Itamar Ben Gvir' demanded the occupation police to investigate Sheikh Sabri, after he mourned the martyr Ismail Haniyeh, the former Prime Minister, from the pulpit of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.
occupation forces arrested His Eminence Sheikh Sabri and released him on the condition that he be removed from the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The occupation intelligence handed the Secretary of the Fatah Movement in Jerusalem, Shadi Al-Mutawwar, a decision to renew his removal from the West Bank for a new period of six months. It is noteworthy that the occupation has been imposing military decisions on Al-Mutawwar for more than five years, and they are renewed periodically every six months.
Detentions:
During the third quarter of 2024, about (304) arrest cases were monitored in all areas of the Jerusalem Governorate, including (20) children and (16) women.
The occupation also arrested more than 50 Palestinian workers under the pretext of entering the city of Jerusalem without permits.
Decisions of the occupation courts against detainees:
The occupation courts impose unfair decisions on detainees, ranging from issuing actual prison sentences, imposing house arrest, in addition to deportation decisions and heavy fines. Some of them have been issued travel bans by the occupation court, in addition to extending the detention of a large number of detainees for long months and perhaps years without bringing clear charges against them.
Actual imprisonment:
The report monitored the racist occupation courts issuing (88) actual prison sentences against Jerusalemite prisoners, including (54) administrative detention sentences 'i.e. without clearly specifying a charge against them.' Among the most prominent sentences issued by the occupation authorities during July was the sentence issued against the child Ayham Nawaf al-Salaymeh (12 years old) to 12 months of actual imprisonment after spending 14 months in house arrest.

Travel ban decisions:
The occupation cites security reasons to prevent Palestinians from traveling, especially in occupied Jerusalem. During the third quarter of 2024, the occupation prevented the two Jerusalemite defenders, Hanadi Halawani and Khadija Khweis, from traveling.
Two travel ban decisions were issued against the Jerusalemite defender, Hanadi Halawani, one during the month of July and the other during the month of August.

Crimes and Violations Against Jerusalemite Institutions and Landmarks:
In ongoing attempts to undermine Jerusalemite efforts inside the occupied capital, the occupation continued during the third quarter of 2024 the policy of closing down institutions operating there and suppressing activities that prove the presence and steadfastness of Jerusalemites in the occupied city.
