Wednesday Season 2 behind-the-scenes footage released
Jenna Ortega is set to reprise her role as the spooky Wednesday Addams in the upcoming season, which The Hollywood Reporter claims will be 'bigger and more twisted than you can ever imagine.'
Netflix showcased a sneak peek during a fan event in Atlanta on Thursday. The video features Ortega alongside original cast members, including Hunter Doohan, Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Luis Guzman, and Catherine Zeta-Jones. Fans were also excited to see Thing, played by Victor Dorobantu, return to Nevermore Academy.
The behind-the-scenes clip includes scenes of Wednesday arriving at Nevermore with her characteristic serious demeanor, students congregating in a field, and Thing sneaking about. Renowned director Tim Burton was spotted on set as well.
Ortega humorously remarked at the end of the video, 'If we showed you any more, your eyes would bleed and I'm not that generous.'
Filming for the second season began in May in Ireland. Created by Al Gough and Miles Millar, the show has welcomed new cast members like Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, and Noah Taylor.
Earlier this year, Ortega expressed her approval of the season two scripts, particularly after receiving criticism for her comments about the writing in season one. She hinted that the new season would include 'a little more horror' and 'a lot more action,' adding that each episode 'feels like a movie,' while noting that Wednesday’s character 'never really changes.'
As of now, Netflix has not revealed the release date for season two of Wednesday.
