Jordan condemns Israel's bombing of Al-Tabe'een school in Gaza
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned in the strongest terms the Israeli occupation’s bombing of the Al-Tabe'een school, which shelters displaced persons in the Daraj neighborhood of Gaza City, on Saturday dawn, which resulted in the death of more than 100 Palestinians and the injury of dozens, in a flagrant violation of the rules of international law and an insistence on the systematic targeting of civilians and centers sheltering displaced persons.
The Ministry's spokesperson, Ambassador Dr. Sufyan Al-Qudah, stressed the Kingdom’s absolute condemnation and denunciation of Israel’s continued violations of international law and international humanitarian law, in light of the absence of a firm international position that curbs Israeli aggression and forces it to respect international law and stop its aggression on Gaza, and the resulting killing, destruction and unprecedented humanitarian disaster.
This targeting, which comes at a time when mediators are seeking to resume negotiations on a prisoner exchange deal that will lead to a permanent ceasefire, is an indication of the Israeli government's efforts to obstruct and thwart these efforts, Al-Qudah said.
