President of the Senate, Faisal Fayez, discussed with Egyptian Senate President Abdel Wahab Abdel Razeq in Cairo, on Sunday, relations and ways to enhance parliamentary cooperation between the Senate and the Senate.
Fayez and Abdel Razeq stressed the importance of the Jordanian-Egyptian relations strategy, which is based on mutual respect, serving the common interests of the two countries and the two peoples, and permanent coordination and consultation between His Majesty King Abdullah II and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, on everything that would advance the relations of the two countries and serve the just causes of the Arab nation.
The two officials also emphasized their efforts aimed at ending the brutal Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank.
They highlighted the necessity of activating joint Arab action to end the Israeli aggression and empower the Palestinian people with their legitimate rights by establishing an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
They noted that in light of the continuing aggressive and brutal practices committed by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people, the continuation of massacres and war crimes in the Gaza Strip, ethnic cleansing, and starvation, the international community is required to take practical and firm measures to stop these practices and force Israel to abide by the resolutions of international legitimacy. At the same time, they called for holding Israel accountable for its horrific crimes. Petra
