Royal Protocol at the Royal Hashemite Court on Tuesday announced that the national event marking His Majesty King Abdullah II’s Silver Jubilee will take place on Sunday, 9 June.
Following is the announcement:
“Royal Protocol at the Royal Hashemite Court announces that a national event marking the Silver Jubilee of His Majesty King Abdullah II’s assumption of constitutional powers will take place on Sunday, 9 June 2024.
The event will be held to express Jordanians’ appreciation of their leader, and their pride in Jordan’s continued achievements, under the leadership of His Majesty, who has reiterated on several occasions that the progress made throughout over a quarter of a century was realised through the efforts of all Jordanians, and belongs to each one of them.
The event will feature segments highlighting Jordan’s achievements over the past 25 years, and emphasising Jordanians’ commitment to carrying on with modernisation and progress, to build on what has been achieved throughout a journey of prosperity and resilience.
We congratulate Their Majesties King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein and Queen Rania Al Abdullah on this occasion, praying that God protect Their Majesties and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, and fulfil the aspirations of Jordanians for further development and prosperity.”
