A woman has claimed she found a man hiding in her bedroom after he had been secretly living there for four months. The woman, known as K on TikTok shared the chilling saga in two parts, which sounds like something out of a horror film, explaining how she found a stranger hiding under her bed.
Kickstarting the video with a brief background, she revealed that she bought her first house at the age of 26 and lived there with her two kids. Working around 80-90 hours per week, the mum shared that she sometimes spent a few nights at her parents' home when they assisted her with childcare.
Because of this, K and the kids would normally be out of the house for nearly 11 or 12 hours a day, sometimes even longer. But on one occasion, after spending the night at her parent's place, she returned to her own residence around 9 am to find a man lurking under her bed.
She said that she had decided to take a nap, she undressed and hopped into bed. That's when she began hearing unusual noises. 'I hear a noise and I was like, 'That must be a mouse'', she recalls before highlighting she heard it again. 'I lean over the side of my bed. I see blue jeans and black socks sticking out from underneath my bed,' she recounted.
Unsurprisingly horrified, K screamed and rushed out of her home, jumped in her car, and promptly called the police. While she was on the call, she alleges she caught sight of the man emerging from the front door of her house. 'I see the guy that I hired to mow my lawn come walking out the front door,' she says, adding that the man simply put his shoes on and started walking down the street.
After the police arrived and walked K through the house, she says she noticed several details, including used dishes and missing items. This, she says, suggested the man had been living there for a long time. 'He admitted to have been living in my house for four months. He was breaking in when I was gone, and he was using my shower, playing my kid's PlayStation, eating my food,' she says.
According to PayRent, 'Squatters are individuals or groups who take up residence in a property without the owner's permission. They can be found in urban and rural areas and may want affordable housing or be involved in criminal activity.'
In her video, K says says police confirmed the man was unhoused. However, she says that police also said that when they searched his lawnmower, they found pairs of underwear belonging to K and several other women.
Woman Jailed For Savage Attack On 'Best Friend' Later Found Dead Surgeon Operated On Boy's Genitals Without Consent Because He Was 'Nosey T***' by Taboola Her video received 1.2 million views, and several users wanted to know more. In a follow-up to the story, K reveals that the man was a friend of her brother's from high school. She shares that she didn't see him for years after the incident until one day, she spotted him at a bar.
She and her family promptly left the venue and she remains unsure of his fate. 'That's not squatting, that's phrogging,' one viewer corrected, explaining that rather than squatting in an empty home, the man had been secretly living in someone's home without their knowledge while they also resided there.
