U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken shared photos from his visit to the Jordan Hashemite Charitable Organization (JHCO) warehouse on Tuesday.
Blinken's visit to the JHCO's warehouse came at a time when he was visiting the Kingdom as part of a tour of the Middle East to discuss the ceasefire in Gaza, the dangers of the Israeli occupation attack on the city of Rafah, and the mechanisms for lifting all restrictions that obstruct the entry of humanitarian aid into all areas of the Gaza Strip.
Blinken said in a post on his official X account: 'I visited the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization warehouse in Jordan that is facilitating the delivery of life-saving aid in Gaza, with support from the U.S.'
'Tangible progress has been made – additional crossings, increased aid into the north. But more is needed, and that's why I'm in the region this week,' he added.
On his 7th visit to the region, the U.S. Secretary of State met with His Majesty King Abdullah II on Tuesday, and during the meeting, which was attended by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, His Majesty stressed the importance of taking immediate action to stop the humanitarian crisis unfolding in the Strip and protect innocent civilians, and ensuring the continuous flow of humanitarian, relief, and medical aid to Gaza through all available means.
Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi also met with his U.S. counterpart, while the two ministers discussed efforts to reduce the escalation in the region and prevent any Israeli attack on Rafah.
