Safadi, Blinken discuss preventing any Israeli attack on Rafah
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, received on Tuesday the U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
The meeting comes as a continuation of the discussions they held during the six-party Arab ministerial consultative meeting with the United States, which was held Monday in Riyadh, and in the context of the Arab-Islamic effort aimed at reaching a complete ceasefire in Gaza, ensuring the protection of civilians, and the delivery of sufficient and sustainable humanitarian aid to all parts of the Strip.
The two ministers discussed efforts made to reduce the escalation in the region and prevent any Israeli attack on Rafah.
Safadi and Blinken also discussed the dangerous deterioration and escalation in the West Bank, and the necessity of starting to implement a comprehensive plan to end the occupation and achieve just and comprehensive peace within the framework of the two-state solution.
